Headboards
A Headboard is suitable if you already have a box base. Your retailer will advise you of the measurements required of the box base bolts
Tail end Info
A standard bed has an 800m high tail end, alternatively a 'low tail end' is available. An example is shown on the Upholstered Bedheads page.
Bed Assembly Bed Assembly is quick and easy. Holes are pre drilled and screws are provided. Full instructions are sent with each bed order. Click Here for bed assembly instructions (pdf format). Bunks Single size bunks are made in a similar style to beds. A bunk bed set will convert to 2 matching single beds (see picture below). Bunks are assembled like beds. Steel rods fit into pre drilled holes in the bed posts, which connect top and bottom bunk. The safety rail is made from 90 x 19mm timber. It is easy to fit onto the bunks with 'click in' fittings. Full instructions are sent with order.The safety rail design is based on a minimum 200mm thick mattress for the top bunk.

We make Trundler Beds for single beds and bunks. A small single trundler will fit under a single bed. A standard single trundler will fit under a king single bed. Mattresses available for both trundler bed sizes.

Fixed Slats - Virtue Furniture fixed slats are cut to length from 90mm x 19mm Radiata Pine. There are no sharp edges or rough surfaces. In conjunction with a top quality mattress, a fixed slat bed is a strong bed, which suits most requirements. Imported flexible slats are thinner and more flexible. They may not be supportive enough for those with back problems or heavier people. Further detail on slat construction is shown on the Upholstered Bedheads page.

We use a paintwash/wax finish on all our furniture. Because the Pine we use is very light in colour it is the perfect timber for this type of finish. Our Limewax finish displays the character of the timber grain, but at the same time allows different colour choices.

Alternatively, furniture can be painted in full colour, or the customers own colour choice.
We source paint from Dulux, Resene and Taubmans/Wattyl.
